please help my baby get his ear surgery done<3
thank you for clicking read more :)
so after months of testing the vet informed us a few days ago that our cat does, in fact, have skin cancer. to get more specific it's actually squamous-cell carcinoma.
(text is in spanish but im sure google lens can translate pretty well.)
it's affecting the tip/side of his left ear and hasn't spread to his nose or the other ear, so the vet recommended surgery to get the ear removed as soon as we possibly can. this would be on september 2nd, this monday.
exams like x-rays and biopsies have already been pretty expensive so i'm making this post to hopefully offset the cost of his pinnectomy (ARS$180,000->USD$189) even just a little bit. the whole thing has been really stressing and adding to that a messed up family situation where i can't ask them for help, please trust me when i say i wouldn't do this if i didn't need to.
details for the fic commissions:
my ao3 account for reference
right now im working on stuff for supernatural and formula 1 so that's where my brain's at, mostly, but ive done a lot of writing for jojo's bizarre adventure (im Very fluent with jotaro and all part 3-4 characters) and for the argies in the room, i've even written stuff for los simuladores and el marginal. i have no issues writing in spanish (rioplatense).
im also comfortable writing for genshin impact. been playing for years and im familiar with the lore up until fontaine. i've been itching to write something for a while :)
im Very Very familiar with x reader fics and will do OC x Character or OC x OC gladly as long as you provide character art or detailed descriptions to help me capture them best.
im comfortable writing pretty much every ship for the fandoms i named and can do gen, teen, mature and explicit works. im open to all kinks and have a history of doing incest and age-gap pairings. im comfortable with most dark themes— will write dub-con, non-con, cnc, and want to hear your weirdly specific skinks. in general, it's easier to say what i will not do than what i will. no judgement, as long as you respect
what i will not do:
horror
gore
necrophilia
violent non-con or explicit non-con (mentioning it in the story is fine, but i will not write the actual scene)
scat
vore
race play (hateful imagery/racial slurs)
kidfic
for formula 1 im simply inept at doing maxiel and c2. in general, i struggle with max and carlos. won't write anything for lando, sorry. anything else from 2010 to 2024 is fine, and im open to AUs of any kind as well as gender bending :)
pricing
Tier 3 — USD$5 for 500 words. 5 slots open
Tier 2 — USD$10 for 1k to 3k words. 2 slots open
Tier 1 — USD$25 for 4k to 10k words. 2 slots open
if i exceed wordcount in any case, it's on me. i'm a yapper.
contact me here or ask for my gmail in tumblr dms ^^
i can only accept ppal for USD$. if you're in argentina and you're interested, dm me for mercadopago info :)
(if you just want to donate that's totally cool. i just felt weird asking for money without anything to offer. it's a me thing)
ppal link
if you read this whole thing, thank you. here is the boy himself. he's almost 11 years old, incredibly grumpy, manipulative, called ugly by almost all my friends, has already gone through eye surgery so that's why his eyes look Like That, and on the rare occasion he sits on my lap i literally cry.
please put sunscreen on your cats, especially if they have white hair like aki. we didn't know for the longest time that exposure to the sun could cause skin cancer on cats and by the time we knew and started doing it, it was too late.
#edited bc i accidentally posted prematurely oops#anyways pls reblog it means a lot to me#cw pet health

✨ "Mother Knows Best" Advice Column: Dr. Kureha! ✨
(written by @vetoing-clocks)
On 'Self-Care':
Hello, people, Doctor Kureha here, winner of the 2024 “One Piece” MILF tournament. It shows that many of you are people of taste and recognize that I’m hotter and better than all those little girls not even half my age.
Now, even if you have bad taste and didn’t vote for me, I’ll make you listen to what I have to say, because it’s important. The “Doctor” in “Doctor Kureha” isn’t part of my name, it’s my actual title. It’s what I do for a living, and I’m so damn good at it that I made it to 140.
Yeah, yeah, I know. I probably triggered some ugly memories there. I know the sort of people that my profession tends to gather. Narcissistic masochists, each and every one of us, and the ones that can’t keep that under control make for terrible doctors. I’ve fought some of them and won. That’s another reason you know you can trust me.
I’m here to tell you a couple of quick things about self-care. Let’s start with vitamin D! You’re probably deficient. It happens because we mostly get it from exposure to the sun. I live in a winter island, I barely see the sun. In summer islands, though, you gotta wear sunscreen to protect yourself from skin cancer, so you end up deficient too. You need vitamin D for your bones and to stay young! If you can’t get your vitamin D naturally, store-bought is fine too. Just make sure not to take more than the recommended dose, because it accumulates and it can also cause kidney failure. You don’t want to fuck up your kidneys, trust me.
Speaking of kidneys? Water! Drink water! It’s hard to remember and also a hassle because nobody wants to go to the toilet all the time, but you know what you really don’t want? Acute. Kidney. Injury. You need two liters of water a day, so get drinking! And you know what’s good about water? It’s the only thing you can ingest before going to sleep that won’t ruin your rest. Digestion needs a certain effort from your body that keeps you from getting a restful sleep from the start. It doesn’t matter how little you eat, if you ingest anything that isn’t water less than two hours before you go to bed, you’ll be messing with your chances of getting a full night of good sleep.
The last thing I’m gonna share with you is completely unrelated to the previous stuff. Did you know that a lot of studies have been made on happiness? One of them says that generosity—giving things to other people—produces more satisfaction and joy than getting stuff for yourself. Isn’t that an interesting fact? We’re apparently made to try to be kind. It doesn’t sound like such a bad thing to be. Maybe some of my colleagues should try it.
---
Thank you for the boost! 🥂 @opfandombase @opzinebulletin

I feel like a crazy person seeing so many people call the tiny discolorations on Rafayel's body "moles"
Because I'm 99% sure they are just freckles
A player on twitter posted this picture and... that looks like a freckle to me!
Moles and freckles are not the same thing!
Freckles are flat, discolored marks on the skin caused by exposure to the sun and come in darkening shades of brown, because it's an increase in pigment as your skin responds to UV rays
Moles are actual growths that typically rise above the surface of the skin but can sometimes be flat, are normally round or at least symmetric, and can come in a range of colors (and people should be mindful of A-B-C-D when assessing a mole for asymmetry, border changes, color changes, and diameter changes over time which can be potential signs the mole is becoming cancerous)
Also as freckles are usually smaller than moles and since players have been pulling out magnifying glasses to even see the ones on Rafayel's face, I'm even more sure they are just freckles
Rafayel is literally sun-kissed! ☀️💋

habits you should have, regardless of beauty standards:
we all know that sex sells, and if youre like me, you refuse to be a part of it. the issue is, many of the habits that are advertized to be for the improvement of your looks, are actually really important for your health as well, often times even life saving. if youre like me, you might be unaware of this and deliberately NOT participating in them as a protest against beauty standarts, which might actually be hurting you. let me tell you which! (long post)
1. wearing sunscreen:
unless you have a lot of melanin, you should wear sunscreen every time the uv index is 3 or higher, to protect yourself from skin cancer.
why does society tell us to wear it?
i always hear 'sun exposure gives you wrinkles, freckles, sunspots, etcetc' and went 'well i dont CARE, fuck you' and never wore it.
everybody tries to sell sunscreen as 'antiaging'. its crazy how thats the biggest selling point, and not the fact that sunscreen protects you from getting CANCER.
heres the thing, you SHOULDNT care about getting wrinkles! theres nothing wrong with them, no matter how 'premature' they are!
why you should actually wear it:
you should care about skin cancer though. asides from melanoma, which has very low survival rates, other skin cancers, while not as deadly, can then spread to different organs and *cause* other deadly cancers.
okay, im new to sunscreens, what should i do?
well first, let me say that mineral vs chemical doesnt really matter, as long as the spf is high enough. the general rule is the higher the spf, the better.
if i were to reccomend a sunscreen, it would be beauty of joseon. it has gone viral, and while i do think its overhyped, i think its a great basic. its pretty cost efficient, not sticky or smelly and doesnt burn my eyes.
you should apply spf if the uv index is 3 or higher, which you can check the levels in your area on any weather website. if youre staying outside for longer than 2 hours, you should reapply.
you dont have to wear suncreen indoors! your windos block most uv rays.
your face needs at least a quarter of a teaspoon to be fully protected. of course the amount varies depending on the size of your face, but usually two fingers are enough to protect your face:
to save as much sunscreen as possible, try to stay in the shade and and cover your body when going outdoors!
before you go to sleep, you should remove your spf by double cleansing!
2. working out:
why does society tell us to work out?
the most common answer is: to lose weight. the get a 'desirable' body shape. to get a 'healthy' body shape.
there are many scientific papers that talk in depth about how your weight isnt indicative of your health, so i am going to spare you, and i certainly dont need to go in depth about how nobody should conform to societys beauty standards.
another thing worth pointing out is that often times, exercise cannot actually give you the shape you want. there are many factors to this, such as genetics or hormones, but the fact is, exercise often just wont help you archieve the ideal body shape anyway.
why should you actually work out, then?
many reasons!
-being in shape (metaphorically, not literally) will make moving around easier and you'll get less tired perfoming your daily tasks.
-working out improves mood and helps with brain fog
-increases energy levels (ironically)
-good for cardiovascular health, digestive health, good for bone heath: that means that as you age, you are more likely to retain more of your mobility than if you didnt work out, and your body will in general be happier
-sometimes it helps you socialize, participate in community etc.
how to get into working out?
now, this is the fun part: there is no wrong way to go about this!
you dont need to do a specific type of working out! in fact, just pick whatever suits you!
you can run or go for walks. dance in your living room or attend dance class. shadow box. go to the gym to box.
lift weights or do at home calisthenics, do chloe ting workout videos, climb trees, go for a bike ride, whatever!
just keep moving! you should workout a few times a week :) you dont need any fancy equipment or clothes.
3. eat healthy
now, this one may be different definition of a healthy diet than youve heard of: you shouldnt eat less, but more. the biggest adjustment to your diet shouldnt be removing things but adding things.
you should eat a lot of vegetables, as well as proteins, sugar and fats.
you can keep your fries and a burgers, but you should add a salad as well!
maybe you grew up believing that you dont like healthy things, like fish or collard greens, but you might be living in a lie :D
i reccommend trying new recipes, you might be surprised!
a good diet will have similiar effects to working out- its very important to nourish your body so that it can work properly.

I sun gaze, I sun graze & I sun bathe. As you should
SUN ☀️ SEASON LOADING..
I’ve been sungazing for many years & received so much benefits, so much clarity & wisdom just by staring at the sun..
The secret of how the sun is able to influence life is that sunlight carries not only energy, but intelligence; it is information
It’s a conscious being, there‘s nothing new under him. He sees you for what you truly are, because he is you. Facing the sun, you become more psychic & more intuitive because the sun has so many frequencies inside it
Don’t get caught up in this illusory world of fake food, artificial intelligence & blue light.. gaze into the sun—put your bare feet on the earth, give Gaia your energy
Connect back to the organic intelligence of this living system.. as we are all connected through the aether, the quantum field all around us
The ancients knew the sun is a powerful source for healing: Our culture's fear of the Sun's effects is unfounded—There's more evidence skin cancer is caused by sunscreen & the food we eat rather than by sun rays
What sungazers will tell you is the sun literally increases & strengthens your pineal gland for melatonin & serotonin levels inside the body, these are the feel good hormones responsible for keeping you in good mood
Melatonin is responsible for regulating your sleep & wake cycles, your circadian rhythm so the sun is great for recharging melanin producing more melatonin
The sun provides nutrients so powerful it can replace the need for food. The information in sunlight instructs the body to generate vitamins & amino acids from water & the energy of the Sun..That’s why the chakra that rules our gut is called "SOLAR Plexus"-it's primary food source should be SOLAR
Sun your yoni/balls ladies & gents: 15 minutes of full body sun exposure will do wonders for your health—look at the sun as building a relationship with a living intelligence
These are safe beneficial practices when done GRADUALLY & CORRECTLY, take your time
When you sungaze speak your intention into the sun, ask questions & you’ll receive

What if: Kryptonite
Kryptonite is a radiated material that was used as an energy source by Krypton. It can be found on various planets where Kryptonians have either colonized or set up scientific labs.
Earth itself had several sites where labs were set up. This had the unintended consequence of mutating earth minerals into Kryptonite.
Depending on the exact mineral composition, Kryptonite can have differing effects. The types of Kryptonite can easily be identified by their color.
The effects of each type can vary in degree according to the type of being exposed. Kryptonians are far more sensitive due to their unique tactile field and are able to absorb and regulate radiation far more efficiently than species such as humans.
Ultimately, however, the effects are the same in the long run.
Green Kryptonite_ common_ it is an immense source of power but constant exposure can cause mutations such as cancer or meta-mutations
For a Kryptonian like Superman, close exposure means extreme pain & weakness as well as heightened sensitivity
Red Kryptonite_ green Kryptonite that was further transmuted, Red Kryptonite has, in addition to causing mutations, the effect of lowered inhibitions.
That means behavior such as loss of inhibition or thoughts of cause & effect. The effects last only as long as the radiation remains within the affected’s system which usually only takes a few days.
For Kryptonians like Superman, the complete lack of inhibition as well as the exhibited chase for pleasure & gratification can be described as a complete personality change to that of artifically made psychosis.
White Kryptonite _ it can literally drain the energy out of organisms. Due to the weakness of it, only plants and microbes are negatively affected.
Gold Kryptonite_rare_ due to it’s rarity, not much is known about it’s effects on humans. For Kryptonians, it can block their ability to absorb solar radiation for however long it remains within their system.
Kryptonians have used this to develop devices disguised as jewelry in order to remain normal under a Yellow Sun. This has been exceedingly useful for those Kryptonians who have chosen to live among humans. It’s always nice to have a way to seem human in a situation where your identity might otherwise be exposed.
Silver Kryptonite_ a type of Kryptonite that enhances hormones that control fear.
For Kryptonians, this goes further into extreme paranoia and hallucinations.
Pink Kryptonite_ it’s radiation induced increased feelings of lust
For Kryptonians, who basically engineered their species to develop sexual attraction only after a romantic attachment has been established, this means flirting with any individual they find attractive.
Superman was particularly embarrassed after flirting with his good friend Jimmy Olsen.
Blue Kryptonite_ it can only be described as nature’s way of combating the negative effects of the other types of Kryptonite. If used in the right way, it can reverse nearly any mutation caused by other Kryptonite.
Later, this type of Kryptonite became especially important to the Kryptonite people as the only way to cure Kryptonite poisoning.
No matter what type, however, one must be extremely cautious. Prolonged exposure can and will lead to mutations and negative health.
Just ask Lex Luthor, who barely survived cancer induced by wearing green Kryptonite as jewelry.

Don’t Fry Day
Be aware of the dangers of sun exposure and try hosting an indoor picnic or movie marathon on the Council for Skin Cancer Prevention’s No Fry Day.
Although it might sound more like a dieter’s mantra, Don’t Fry Day is actually not about eating healthy food. Instead, the day is an initiative of the National Council on Skin Cancer Prevention. So get that SPF sunscreen on hand and get ready to celebrate Don’t Fry Day!
History of Don’t Fry Day
Since the beginning of time, the sun has been critical for human life on planet Earth. Without the sun, people would literally freeze to death! But, less dramatically, people who do not get enough exposure to sunlight can have health problems such as Vitamin D deficiency and decreased serotonin. Lack of sunshine has also been linked to other health problems such as bone problems, skin problems, weight gain, depression, some cancers and more.
With that in mind, it’s important to remember that this day is not about making sure that people don’t get any sun exposure at all! The purpose of Don’t Fry Day is just what the name says – be careful not to get a sunburn.
The Skin Cancer Foundation, National Council on Skin Cancer Prevention, and other important organizations have made it clear that getting a little sun is good, but getting too much sun, or a sunburn, can be dangerous. Especially if sunburns are repeated over and over again. In fact, sunburn is a leading cause of a few different forms of skin cancer, including the most deadly one, melanoma.
The great news is that sunburn is completely preventable! And that’s why Don’t Fry Day was established by the National Council on Skin Cancer Prevention, to raise awareness for the various actions that can be taken to protect and prevent children and adults from too much exposure to the sun.
Situated just in advance of the warmest months of the year, at least in the northern hemisphere, Don’t Fry Day offers a kind reminder each year for people to be careful and take care of their skin health!
How to Celebrate Don’t Fry Day
Try out some of these ideas for celebrating Don’t Fry Day:
Use Sunburn Precaution Tactics
With the days of tanning and basking in the sun all day long behind us, the words on everyone’s lips these days might be something along the lines of ‘slip, slop, slap and wrap’. This little mantra can be a great encouragement for sun worshippers to slip on a shirt, slop on sunscreen (SPF 30 and above is ideal), slap on a hat, and wrap on sunglasses.
Throw Out Old Sunscreen
One important thing to remember is that sunscreen can lose its effectiveness after sitting for a while. So be sure to check the expiration dates on bottles of sunscreen and throw out anything that is too old to be effective. If there’s not a date on the bottle and no one in the family can remember when it was purchased, then it’s probably time for it to go!
Teach Kids About Sun Exposure
Don’t Fry Day is a great opportunity to teach kids about being sun smart in a light-hearted way. Sure, a little sunburn might not feel like the end of the world just one time, but kids need to know that prolonged exposure to the sun without protection, especially in certain areas of the world, can be a health risk. So perhaps parents and teachers can try to make the education about Don’t Fry Day a bit fun and talk about ways to avoid becoming a lobster and living in the pain of sunburn through prevention and protection methods.
Host an Indoor Activity
Rather than staying out in the sun all day, why not celebrate by holding an indoor picnic and having a movie marathon for at least part of the day? Or if the weather’s nice, grab some friends, get a beach umbrella, and have some sun-smart fun in the great outdoors. Just remember to follow the rules: slip, slop, slap and wrap between the hours of 10 and 4!

Besides, it depends on where the atoms are being removed. If it’s working its way from the feet to the head, then OP has lost more skin cells just from walking around (unless, of course, they are unable to walk) than from reblogs. If the atoms are being removed from random locations, then sooner or later it will damage some DNA, or some RNA that’s just about to be used, and cause a serious failure. The wrong atom at the wrong time could lead to a cell dying, or even becoming cancerous.
(This is, incidentally, why we are unlikely to send humans to Mars any time soon — Musk and his cretinous supporters tend not to talk about the fact that we literally cannot shield a ship effectively against gamma rays from the sun, and the time that the ship would spend in transit would mean that any humans making the trip would most likely die from the exposure over the next few months, no matter how well-planned and complete the facilities are at the other end. Same kind of damage.)
please don't reblog this post a devilish temptress tricked me into making it and she placed a hex upon it so that every reblog removes a molecule from my body

Exploring the Benefits of Safesun UltraRx Matte Sunscreen: Your Ultimate SPF 50+ Defense with PA++++ Rating
In the pursuit of healthy and radiant skin, an essential step in any skincare routine is sun protection. As the sun's powerful rays can wreak havoc on our skin, causing premature aging, pigmentation, and even more serious concerns like skin cancer, finding the right sunscreen becomes paramount. Safesun UltraRx Matte Sunscreen, boasting an impressive SPF 50+ and a PA++++ rating, emerges as a top-tier contender in the realm of sun protection. In this comprehensive exploration, we delve into the remarkable qualities of Safesun UltraRx Matte Sunscreen and why it deserves a prime spot in your skincare arsenal.
Unraveling the Science: SPF 50+ Shielding
Safesun UltraRx Matte Sunscreen offers an impressive SPF 50+ level of protection against the sun's harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays. The Sun Protection Factor (SPF) indicates the sunscreen's ability to defend your skin from UVB rays, which are responsible for causing sunburn and contributing to skin cancer. With SPF 50+, this sunscreen provides an exceptionally high level of defense, allowing you to enjoy extended periods of sun exposure without the risk of sunburn. Whether you're lounging on the beach or going for a midday stroll, Safesun UltraRx Matte Sunscreen has you covered, literally.
The Power of PA++++: Guarding Against UVA Rays
While SPF focuses primarily on shielding against UVB rays, another critical player in the sun protection game is the PA rating, which gauges the effectiveness of a sunscreen against UVA rays. UVA rays penetrate deeper into the skin and are responsible for premature aging, fine lines, and wrinkles. Safesun UltraRx Matte Sunscreen proudly boasts a PA++++ rating, the highest level of UVA protection available. This means that not only are you shielded from sunburn, but your skin is also safeguarded against the long-term detrimental effects of UVA exposure.
Matte Elegance Meets Sunscreen Functionality
One common hesitation with sunscreen usage is the potential for a greasy or oily finish. Safesun UltraRx Matte Sunscreen shatters this misconception by offering a luxurious matte finish that complements all skin types, even those prone to oiliness. The innovative formula is designed to absorb excess oil, leaving your skin with a velvety smooth texture that serves as an excellent base for makeup application. This marriage of functionality and elegance makes Safesun UltraRx Matte Sunscreen a standout option for individuals seeking both effective sun protection and a flawless complexion.
Lightweight and Breathable: All-Day Comfort
Many individuals avoid sunscreen due to concerns of heaviness and pore-clogging properties. Safesun UltraRx Matte Sunscreen defies these stereotypes with its lightweight and breathable formulation. The sunscreen effortlessly glides onto your skin, absorbing quickly without leaving a trace of residue. This ensures a comfortable experience throughout the day, allowing your skin to breathe while staying shielded from the sun's harm.
How to Incorporate Safesun UltraRx Matte Sunscreen into Your Routine
Integrating Safesun UltraRx Matte Sunscreen into your daily skincare regimen is a breeze. Follow these simple steps to make the most of this exceptional sun protection:
Cleansing: Begin with a clean canvas. Gently cleanse your face to remove impurities and create the perfect base for sunscreen application.
Hydration: Apply your preferred moisturizer to ensure your skin remains hydrated and plump before applying sunscreen.
Sunscreen Application: Squeeze a dime-sized amount of Safesun UltraRx Matte Sunscreen onto your fingertips. Dab small amounts onto your forehead, cheeks, nose, and chin.
Even Distribution: Using your fingertips, spread the sunscreen evenly across your face and neck. Be sure to blend it well, avoiding any harsh lines.
Makeup (Optional): If you wear makeup, Safesun UltraRx Matte Sunscreen's matte finish makes it an ideal primer. Apply your makeup as usual and enjoy a flawless look that lasts all day.
Embrace the Safesun UltraRx Experience
In conclusion, Safesun UltraRx Matte Sunscreen emerges as a true champion in the realm of sun protection. With its remarkable SPF 50+ and PA++++ rating, it provides a robust defense against both short-term sunburn and long-term photoaging. The luxurious matte finish, lightweight texture, and comfortable wear make it a standout choice for those seeking a comprehensive sunscreen solution. So, why compromise between protection and elegance when you can have it all with Safesun UltraRx Matte Sunscreen? Embrace this exceptional sunscreen and elevate your skincare routine to new heights of sun-kissed perfection.

Beating the Heat: Essential Tips for Cycling in Hot Weather
Cycling can be a great way to stay fit and enjoy the great outdoors. However, during hot weather, it can be challenging to keep up your cycling routine. Cycling in hot weather can cause dehydration, heat exhaustion, and sunburn. It's essential to take precautions to stay safe and comfortable while cycling in the heat. In this blog post, we'll share some essential tips to help you beat the heat while cycling. From staying hydrated to wearing sunscreen, we'll cover everything you need to know to stay safe and enjoy your cycling experience, even in the hottest weather. Keep reading to find out how to make the most of your cycling routine this summer!
1. Why cycling in hot weather can be challenging
Cycling in hot weather can be a challenging experience due to a number of reasons. Firstly, excessive heat can cause dehydration, which can lead to fatigue, dizziness, and even heat stroke. This can be particularly dangerous for cyclists who are out on long rides or for those who are not adequately prepared for the heat. Moreover, high temperatures can lead to increased heart rate and breathing rate, which can cause exhaustion and make it difficult to maintain a consistent pace. Additionally, hot weather can cause profuse sweating, leading to loss of electrolytes and essential minerals, which can cause cramps or muscle spasms. Another factor that adds to the challenge of cycling in hot weather is the increased exposure to UV radiation, which can cause sunburn, skin damage, and even skin cancer in the long term. Prolonged exposure to the sun can also cause fatigue and diminish mental focus, which can be a safety hazard while cycling. Therefore, it is important for cyclists to take necessary precautions while cycling in hot weather, such as staying hydrated, wearing appropriate sun protection gear, and adjusting their pace and route according to the temperature. By doing so, cyclists can enjoy their rides while staying safe and healthy.
2. Importance of staying hydrated while cycling
Staying hydrated while cycling in hot weather is not only important but essential. As the body loses water through sweating, it is important to replace that lost water to avoid dehydration. Dehydration can lead to fatigue, cramps, and in extreme cases, heatstroke. When cycling in hot weather, it is recommended to drink at least a liter of water per hour. However, this can vary depending on the individual's body weight, the intensity of the ride, and the temperature. It's important to start hydrating before the ride, during the ride, and after the ride to maintain proper hydration levels. It's also important to remember that plain water may not be sufficient for longer rides. Electrolytes such as sodium, potassium, and magnesium are lost through sweating and need to be replenished through sports drinks or electrolyte tablets. These will help maintain fluid balance and prevent cramping. Carrying a water bottle or hydration pack is essential while cycling. Make sure to take sips of water at regular intervals to maintain hydration levels. It's also a good idea to plan your route around water sources such as fountains or shops where you can refill your water bottle. Remember, staying hydrated while cycling in hot weather is not just about keeping cool, it's about staying safe and enjoying your ride.
3. Tips for staying hydrated before and during the ride
Staying hydrated is key for any cyclist, but it becomes even more important during hot weather. Dehydration can lead to fatigue, cramps, and even heat exhaustion, so it's essential to plan ahead and make sure you have enough fluids before and during your ride. Before your ride, it's recommended to drink at least 16 ounces of water 2-3 hours before you start cycling. This will help ensure that you're not starting your ride in a dehydrated state. It's also a good idea to drink an additional 8-16 ounces of water 30 minutes before starting your ride. During your ride, aim to drink at least 20-24 ounces of fluid per hour, depending on the intensity and duration of your ride. Water is always a good choice, but you may also consider sports drinks that contain electrolytes, which can help replace the sodium, potassium, and other minerals lost through sweat. If you're planning a longer ride, it's important to plan ahead and bring enough fluids with you. This can mean carrying water bottles on your bike or using a hydration pack that allows you to carry more fluid. You may also plan your route to include stops at convenience stores or public water fountains. In addition to drinking fluids, you can also eat foods with high water content, such as watermelon, oranges, or cucumbers, to help stay hydrated. And remember, if you're feeling thirsty, it's a sign that you're already dehydrated, so aim to drink fluids regularly throughout your ride.
4. How to dress for hot weather cycling
Cycling in hot weather can be a challenging task, especially if you are not prepared to beat the heat. One of the essential tips for cycling in hot weather is to dress appropriately. Wearing the right clothing not only makes you feel comfortable but can also prevent heat-related illnesses such as heat exhaustion or heatstroke. When choosing your clothing for hot weather cycling, it is best to opt for lightweight, breathable, and moisture-wicking fabrics. These materials allow air to circulate around your body, keeping you cool and dry. It is also important to wear light-colored clothing as it reflects sunlight and helps to keep your body temperature low. Avoid wearing dark or black colors as they absorb heat and increase your body temperature. Additionally, choose cycling clothes that have a UPF rating of 30 or higher to protect your skin from harmful UV rays. Don't forget to wear sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat to protect your skin and eyes from the sun. Overall, dressing appropriately for hot weather cycling is crucial to staying comfortable, safe, and healthy during your ride.
5. Cool accessories to wear while cycling in hot weather
When cycling in hot weather, it's important to wear appropriate gear that will help you stay cool and comfortable. Here are some of the best cool accessories to wear while cycling in hot weather: 1. Cycling Cap: A good cycling cap is a must-have accessory for cycling in hot weather. It will protect your head and face from the sun and sweat. 2. Arm Coolers: Arm coolers are made of lightweight and breathable fabric that will keep your arms cool and protected from the sun. 3. Neck Gaiter: A neck gaiter is a versatile accessory that can be used as a neck warmer, face mask, or headband. It's made of moisture-wicking material that will keep you cool and dry. 4. Cycling Gloves: Cycling gloves will protect your hands from the sun and provide a good grip on the handlebars. Look for gloves that are made of breathable and moisture-wicking material. 5. Sunglasses: Sunglasses are essential for cycling in hot weather to protect your eyes from the sun and reduce glare. 6. Cycling Socks: Cycling socks are made of breathable and moisture-wicking material that will keep your feet cool and dry. 7. Cooling Vest: A cooling vest is a great accessory to wear while cycling in hot weather. It's designed to keep your body temperature down by circulating cold water through the vest. By wearing the right gear, you can stay cool and comfortable while cycling in hot weather and enjoy your ride without any discomfort.
6. Importance of sunscreen while cycling
Cycling in hot weather can be a very enjoyable experience, but it's also important to take care of your skin while doing it. Sunscreen is an essential item that should be part of every cyclist’s gear during the summer months. Getting sunburned while cycling is not only painful but also dangerous, as it can lead to skin cancer in the long run. It's also important to use a sunscreen that is waterproof or sweat-resistant, as you don't want it to wash off or run into your eyes when you start sweating. When choosing a sunscreen, look for one that has an SPF of at least 30, and preferably one that contains zinc oxide or titanium dioxide as these ingredients provide the most effective broad-spectrum protection against UVA and UVB rays. Apply sunscreen generously to all exposed areas of your skin before your ride, and reapply every two hours or more frequently if you sweat excessively or swim. Don't forget to apply sunscreen to the back of your neck, your ears, and the tops of your feet, as these areas are often overlooked but can get burned easily. So, make sure to apply sunscreen before hitting the road to protect your skin and enjoy your ride without any worries!
7. How to choose a cooler route
When the temperature is soaring, choosing a cooler route is essential for a comfortable and enjoyable ride. Start by checking the weather forecast to avoid cycling during the hottest part of the day. Early morning or late evening rides can be more pleasant, but if you are unable to avoid cycling during the day, consider choosing a shady route that offers some respite from the sun's rays. Urban areas can often be hotter than rural areas due to the heat being trapped by buildings and concrete, so try to choose a route that takes you through parks or along the riverbank. Cycling near water can also be a refreshing experience, as the breeze created by the movement of the water can help cool you down. Another factor to consider when choosing a cooler route is the gradient. Hilly routes will require more effort and generate more body heat, so try to choose a flatter route that will allow you to maintain a steady pace without overheating. Finally, make sure you carry enough water to stay hydrated throughout your ride. Staying hydrated is essential for regulating your body temperature and preventing heat exhaustion. With these tips in mind, choosing a cooler route can help you beat the heat and enjoy your ride even on the hottest of days.
8. Importance of timing your ride in hot weather
Timing your ride in hot weather is crucial to ensure your safety and enjoyment while cycling. It's recommended to plan your ride during the cooler times of the day, preferably early in the morning or late in the evening. This will not only allow you to avoid the scorching midday sun but also help you take advantage of less crowded roads and trails. If you do have to ride during the hotter times of the day, take extra precautions to avoid heat exhaustion or heatstroke. Be sure to wear lightweight and breathable clothing, and use sunscreen to protect your skin from the sun's harmful rays. It's also important to hydrate properly before, during, and after your ride. Avoid sugary drinks and opt for water or electrolyte-rich beverages instead. Another tip is to plan your route in advance to make sure you have access to shade and water sources. This will help you stay cool and hydrated as you ride. By timing your ride appropriately, you can still enjoy cycling during hot weather while minimizing the risks of heat-related illnesses. So, plan your rides carefully and stay safe out there!
9. How to modify your cycling routine for hot weather
Cycling in hot weather can be challenging and can put a strain on your body. Therefore, it's important to modify your cycling routine to make it as comfortable and safe as possible. Here are some tips to help you stay cool and safe while cycling in hot weather: 1. Avoid cycling during the hottest parts of the day, such as midday when the sun is at its peak. Instead, opt for early morning or late afternoon rides when the temperature is cooler. 2. Wear light-colored, breathable clothing that wicks away sweat and allows air to circulate around your body. This will help keep you cool and more comfortable while cycling. 3. Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water before, during, and after your ride. You should aim to drink at least one liter of water per hour of cycling. 4. Take frequent breaks in shaded areas to avoid overheating and to allow your body to cool down. 5. Adjust your speed and intensity to match the conditions. Cycling in hot weather can be more challenging, so it's important to listen to your body and slow down if necessary. 6. Use sunscreen to protect your skin from the sun's harmful UV rays. A minimum SPF of 30 is recommended, and you should reapply it every two hours. By following these tips, you can modify your cycling routine to make it more comfortable and safe in hot weather. Remember to listen to your body and adjust your routine as needed to avoid heat exhaustion or other heat-related illnesses.
10. Conclusion and final tips for cycling in hot weather
Cycling in hot weather can be challenging, but with the right preparation and mindset, it can also be a very enjoyable experience. Here are some final tips to help you beat the heat and stay safe on your rides: 1. Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. Drink plenty of water before, during, and after your ride. Consider carrying a hydration pack or water bottles on your bike. 2. Dress appropriately. Wear lightweight, breathable clothing that wicks away sweat and protects you from the sun. 3. Protect your skin. Apply sunscreen to any exposed skin to prevent sunburn and reduce the risk of skin cancer. 4. Plan your route and time of day. Avoid the hottest parts of the day and plan your route around shady areas. 5. Pace yourself. Don't push yourself too hard in the heat. Take breaks and listen to your body. 6. Know the signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. If you start to feel dizzy, nauseous, or experience a headache, stop riding immediately and find a cool, shaded area to rest. By following these tips, you can enjoy cycling in hot weather and stay safe and healthy on your rides. Remember to always prioritize your health and safety, and have fun out there on the road!

dermatologists’ top 15 recommendations for achieving gorgeous, glowing skin
Here’s How to Overnight Achieve Beautiful, Glowing SkinYoora Kim’s designers are retailers.
No of your skin’s present condition, you may obtain a flawless complexion with the correct advice, techniques, and dermatologist-recommended hacks. The road to glowing, radiant skin takes patience. The idea that only those with naturally beautiful skin may have glowing skin is untrue, according to board-certified dermatologist and CEO of SKINFIVE Dr. Ava Shamban. Yes, the first steps anyone needs to take to achieve “dewy” skin are staying hydrated and developing a reliable skincare routine.
Before deciding if that’s the skincare objective you want to strive toward, it’s crucial to grasp what glowing skin actually entails.According to board-certified dermatologist Dr. Mona Gohara, “this translates into a well-hydrated, super moisturized complexion with just the right touch of natural oil.” Yes, she continues, “it’s not just the lotion in a bottle; the oils on your face also make you glow.”
Having luminous skin takes time, much like other skincare objectives. As a consequence, if you decide to go on a quest for a glowing complexion, don’t give up if you don’t notice results immediately away. It frequently takes many weeks or even months of consistent usage of your skincare products to notice effects, says board-certified dermatologist Dr. Joshua Zeichner. Okay, now that we know the fundamentals of radiant skin, let’s move on to some expert-recommended advice for achieving it.
1. Remain hydrated.
Drinking water is always one of the first suggestions made when someone discusses how to achieve flawless skin, and for good reason. According to board-certified dermatologist Dr. Nicole Hayre, drinking water regularly will keep your skin nourished and healthy. Dr. Hayre advises drinking at least two liters of water every day, so get yourself a lovely water bottle (may I propose a Hydroflask?) and make sure it’s always with you. Additionally, she advises avoiding caffeine due to its “mild diuretic and causes water loss or dehydration.”
2. Recognize your skin tone.
It’s crucial to understand your skin type before you can begin treating it. Is it greasy, dry, or a mix of both? To receive a concrete response, conduct some research or visit a dermatologist. By selecting lotions, shampoos, and masks that directly address the most pressing concerns with your skin, you may get the most benefit out of the items you use.
3. Sunscreen, in a nutshell.
One of the most crucial aspects in a skincare program is applying sunscreen. Every day, you should not only apply sunscreen with a minimum SPF of 30, but you should also reapply it as needed. UV rays cause skin cell destruction and uneven skin surface, which prevents your skin from “reflecting the light very well, hence no glowiness,” according to Dr. Shamban. Wearing sunscreen is essential no matter what your skin-care objectives are because the sun’s harmful rays can also cause excruciating blisters, bruises, and, in some cases, skin cancer.
Additionally, exposure to the sun can worsen hyperpigmentation if you have blemishes that are still visible or active breakouts. In addition to moisturizers or other skin treatments, Dr. Hayre advises using sunscreen on your face and neck before wearing makeup.
4. hydrate!
Make sure to moisturize as well while you are applying cream to your face. Use an excellent moisturizer to moisturise your face at least once every day to prevent dry skin from looking lifeless. According to Dr. Gohara, you may double moisturize with other skincare essentials for an extra moisture boost, particularly in the winter. She advises using a moisturizing sheet mask on top of a hyaluronic acid serum.
5. Use a mild cleanser to clean your face.
It’s also crucial to keep your skin free of debris and grime that can clog pores and cause breakouts. To get the shine, Dr. Gohara advises using a soft and moisturizing cleanser to wash your face.
6. Give toner a try.
Try using a toner first before applying anything else (such a serum, moisturizer, or makeup). This will make it possible for serums and other treatments you use on your face to absorb better, ensuring that you receive all of their benefits. Dr. Shamban advises using a drying toner with salicylic acid or witch hazel if you have oily skin. Try a clarifying toner with glycerin or ceramides for dry skin to hydrate and nourish the skin.
7.Use a serum containing vitamin C.
Your morning routine can also aid in creating a glow by using vitamin C, an antioxidant that defends skin against environmental deterioration. “It shields the skin from damaging free radicals and bothersome chemical particles. According to Dr. Gohara, free radicals may be produced by sunlight, pollution, and even our computer and mobile phone screens. Additionally, vitamin C aids in brightness.
8. Improve your masking skills.
Who doesn’t like a nice selfie wearing a mask? Put on a mask every night as you finish your homework or watch The Last of Us for the eleventh time to add masking to your beauty regimen.
9. Indulge in some sheet masks.
Yes, I am aware that I already advised you to use a mask, but those are rinse-off masks. Try sheet masks when you aren’t doing those, or if you’re too lazy () to do them. They can give your skin the TLC it needs in just one step and are quite simple to apply.
10. Remember to exfoliate.
To remove dead skin cells that make skin look dull, Dr. Shamban advises using a gentle exfoliator once or twice a week. In case you’re confused about the distinctions between physical and chemical exfoliation, Dr. Zeichner explains them. “Physical exfoliation uses gritty particles to manually remove dead cells from the skin’s outer layer,” he explains. “Chemical exfoliation employs acids to breakdown connections between cells so they naturally may be removed. According to some evidence, chemical exfoliants like glycolic acid also promote the formation of collagen.
11. Prevent inequity.
Unevenness is one reason your skin might not be glowing brightly. Dermatologists suggest retinol or other retinoids to improve uneven skin texture and tone and speed up the natural turnover of skin cells. “[Retinol] promotes collagen formation and increases cell turnover. According to Dr. Zeichner, this lessens the visibility of fine lines and wrinkles, brightens dark spots, and improves skin tone and texture. However, because these ingredients can irritate skin, start with a low concentration and only use it three nights a week until your skin becomes more tolerant to it.
12. Consume as many anti-oxidants as you can.
Okay, we’ve covered every surface-level action you can take to enhance your glow, but there are a few more that you can take that will work from the inside out. Dermatologists advise eating foods strong in antioxidants to improve the shine of your skin. Consider berries, nuts like pecans and walnuts, and grapes. Next time you’re searching for a lunchtime snack, be sure to grab some blueberries because the antioxidants in these foods have been linked to preventing UV damage to your skin. Making your own fruit juices from fruits and vegetables from the farmer’s market is another option recommended by Dr. Shamban to “see your skin perk up.”
13. Get enough rest.
There’s a reason why it’s called beauty sleep! According to Dr. Shamban, getting enough sleep helps the skin with proper skin turnover and exfoliation. Make sure to get at least seven hours every night because when you don’t get enough sleep, your skin suffers.
14. Be mindful that reliability is essential.
According to Dr. Gohara, this is due to your body’s normal oil production, which can cause your skin to appear radiant one day and dull the next. She advises sticking to a schedule, avoiding over-exfoliating, and moisturizing every day.
15. Use highlighter to enhance your radiance.
Although achieving a natural glow is ideal, there is a way to achieve the appearance of dewy skin even on days when your skin is acting up (we’ve all experienced this). All eyes are on the highlighter. To keep the source of your glow a mystery, choose a hue with a sheen rather than a glittering finish.

Hi Declan! Happy WBW!
What kind(s) of medicine is used in your world? (Manufactured drugs, plants and herbs, magic, etc.)
Are there any illnesses / injuries / conditions that are unique to the world of your WIP? What are they? What causes them? How can they be treated, if at all?
Who does most of the healing? (Trained physicians, magic users, whoever is around, religious figures, etc.)
How are healers taught? Are there medical colleges or classes? Do they have to have a license to practice medicine?
~Morri🗡️ (@memento-morri-writes)
Hi Morri!!!!
For this one, I'm going to try and give answers for all of them, going in order of least detailed to most detailed.
Starcrossed: This takes place in generally the modern IRL world (with some minor advancements, but nothing more than you'd see in a typical spy thriller), so everything IRL applies here! I do have a few obligatory homoerotic injury tending scenes in this one though ;)
More under the cut because this is a super long post!
Fated: Very standard low magic fantasy, for the most part. Haven't put a lot of thought here but I imagine it's akin to medieval age medicinal practices with some influences from around the world. The three major map areas I'm taking cultural influences from are Germany, Korea, and Saudi Arabia (which are all extremely different, trust me I know) so I'm using ideas from each of those histories, as well as adding touches of varying fantasy things like plants that don't exists or practies tied to the religion that's at the heart of the story. But the "healer" in the party, Soheil, is really just enough of a healer to qualify as one by military standards. With the war going on, they just sorta take anyone and call it a day lol, great way to run things. As for unique injuries, well... spoilers ;)
Darkest Depths: DD should have some stuff purely because of how much body modding goes on in this world, and the amount of time for sure developing multiple melanomas from intense sun worship, but it doesn't. This is mostly due to me making worldbuilding up as I go for this one, but also because I'm trying to give it a more fantastical feel and make it like, very detached from how reality functions. I do want some surrealism and some mystery surrounding the how and why of certain aspects, and medicine might end up being one of those things. I'm not sure yet. But whatever it would be, it'd be highly religious in it's practice and likely performed by Sol's Priestesses, who already perform all of the major functions in society anyway. But most healing would be for injuries/illnesses as a result of too much sun exposure (sun burn, sun poisoning, heat stroke, skin cancer, etc) or body modification related things, since those are all very much part of daily life.
Arcanist's Gambit: General high fantasy fare applies here, with magic and herbs oh my! There is also alchemy and potion brewing too, both of which are pretty advanced fields, but usually healers would use whatever is considered medicine as well as healing Arcanum. Generally, injuries are standard even with the kinds of wild and magical plants and animals in the world. There are probably some funky diseases, but I haven't spent much time on that because it's not super important to anything. However, one neat side effect of my magic system is that since you can craft a spell to be quite literally anything you want, the magial-related ailments can get so nasty. If you're creative enough to come up with it and skilled enough to execute, you can do anything with Arcanum, and I mean anything. The best healers are always Bloodless, since healing magic typically requires a degree of manipulation of the blood in a person's body, and non-Bloodless may run into issues of manipulating their own blood in the process. So, many Bloodless who want to learn a reputable, profitable trade go into medicine and healing since they have the natural advantage of simply not having blood. However, this also means that Bloodless are harder to heal, and the typical fashion of helping them heal includes a massive increase in the amount of blood they consume, with a heavy focus on traditional medicine over magical. Bloodless are basically the O- blood type of this world, in that they can easily help everyone else, but it's really really hard to help them.
Sign of the Times: This wip is funny because it's a fantasy and a sci-fi at the same time while also being the lite version of both of those. There's fairly advanced medicine along with very good medical schools (that definitely cost a fortune) where drs get their license and go on to work in hospitals or clinics, but there is room for some holistic medical practices along with old traditional techniques blended into it. Most people opt for the modern manufactured drugs, but there are some options too if those don't work for you. However, the pharma companies in this world are generally bad news, so they don't love when people swap to the alternatives, which means they innovate that much harder to keep a customer base (and also make illegal and highly addictive drugs to distribute to various criminal organizations to sell on their behalf so they can get those extra dollars).
Magical healing through the powers of Blessed is also possible, but Blessed are obviously not well liked here so that's rare for most citizens. Fuad, however, does have healing powers that let him heal injuries for as long as he makes skin to skin contact with the person, at the cost of enduring whatever pain they're feeling. And there are plenty of Blessed with abilities that can cause severe and unique injuries based on which God they received their Blessing from. Rowan was injured uniquely by a blessed, resulting in scarring that'll never go away along with bones and muscle tissue that were left unable to heal properly, leaving them in pain and with limited mobility.
Bloodied Hands, Tainted Hearts: My medical wip!! The mc Val is literally a scientist working on researching a cure for Whither (and Blood Delirium, more on that later) with a specialized team after a plague sweeps the nation. To work in medicine, you have to have proper training and credits, but it's not super hard to fake any kind of credentials, and if you do actually know what you're doing, no one is going to question you very much. The medicine in this piece I think is somewhere in the Edwardian era, but it might be a little broader in time than that, I'm not exactly sure. But apply ideas about medicine from that general time period to this wip and you've basically got the gist of what medicine is here.
The first disease in this wip is obviously Canis Lamia, which is the disease/genetic mutation that resulted in the Krovolk. Krovolk are vampire/werewolf hybrids and are every bit as terrifying in their True Form as that combination would imply. They need to drink blood and eat a lot of meat for sustenance though they can eat and drink other things no problem. Any blood and meat will do, but humans will always be the most satisfying/allow for the most time between feedings. However, most Krovolk don't use humans as a food source, instead raising large amounts of livestock and doing a lot of hunting within their communities, making sure there's enough to go around for everyone. You can be infected by Krovolk, but it's pretty rare to see it happen nowadays. It also has to be a bite that has intent to infect, because a specific gland will active and inject the bitten person with Canis Lamia. You can also get it through birth, with the chances of a human/Krovolk pair having a Krovolk kid being about 80%.
The second disease is first introduced as Whither to readers, but early on it becomes clear and is discovered to be the same disease as Blood Delirium. Whither is the strain that affects humans only, doing as the name sort of implies. It causes people to slowly die in this very painful, wasting type way. You start off with a cold and suddenly every one of your body functions is shutting down after being unable to digest any sort of food and soon, drink water on your own. Muscles and bones deteriorate along with mental function, and you're basically just rotting while alive. It's a very gruesome way to go, and the disease is 100% fatal if you catch it, which is why everyone is so determined to stop it. Blood Delirium is the Krovolk strain, which came first and has wiped out huge portions of the Krovolk population. However, because they don't have access to medicine in the way humans do due to being forced out of human society, and humans not caring what happens to them, they've been allowed to just. Die. Blood Delirium has a similar effect on Krovolk, where it slowly eats away at the body while preventing it from being able to take in new nutrients, but there is a slight problem with that. Krovolks can turn into True Form whenever they like by essentially letting go of their discipline, but they still have a semblance of control over themselves in True Form. Starvation normally causes a rage as the Krovolk grows desperate for blood and meat, going out of control until it's satisfied and can come back. In combination with the disease eating away at brain tissue, Blood Delirium's starvation effect causes Krovolk to go completely out of control, essentially turning into zombie werewolf/vampire hybrids, which is also as bad as it sounds. So most Krovolk, when faced with a sufferer of Blood Delirium in their community, are forced to kill them before they reach that phase in the disease to protect the community at large from destruction.
As you can see, I've spent a TON of time with the medicine in this one, and I'm really happy about it. I think the diseases are interesting and the stakes feel super high as a result of how serious they are. 100% mortality is no joke, especially not when the death itself is this awful. At least they have the Edwardian idea of "just do a bunch of opioids directly into the bloodstream about it" going for them, that probably makes it feel less bad.

This article will provide the necessary information and tools to achieve your skin goals. So sit back, relax, and prepare to uncover the secrets to a youthful-looking complexion.
Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate
The first step to achieving Youthful-looking skin is to hydrate from the inside out. Drink plenty of water daily to ensure your skin is hydrated and prevent it from becoming dry and dull. Aim for at least eight glasses of water daily, and add a few slices of lemon for added flavour and benefits. Additionally, applying moisturizer can hydrate your skin from the outside. Choose a moisturizer appropriate for your skin type, whether oily, dry, or combination. Make sure to apply it to your face and neck, paying extra attention to the areas around your eyes, mouth, and nose. Adequate hydration is essential for overall health, and maintaining hydrated skin is crucial in achieving and maintaining healthy skin. The specific amount of water needed can vary. Still, a good starting point is the commonly cited guideline of 8 glasses of water per day, which is about 64 ounces or 2 liters. However, this is just a general recommendation. Other factors such as age, gender, activity level, and climate can impact an individual's water needs. For example: - Active individuals and athletes may need more water to replace fluids lost through sweating. - Older adults may have a decreased ability to feel thirsty and need to pay closer attention to their fluid intake. - Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding may need additional fluid. Additionally, it's essential to consider that other beverages and foods contribute to daily water intake. For example, fruits, vegetables, and soups contain significant amounts of water. But drinking water throughout the day is still recommended, as it's the most efficient way to hydrate the body. It's also worth mentioning that drinking enough water can help prevent dry skin, fine lines, and wrinkles. It's also important to stay hydrated during hot weather and physical activity to avoid heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Drinking at least eight glasses of water daily is a good starting point for hydration, but individual needs may vary. It's best to listen to your body, drink water when you're thirsty, and consult a healthcare professional if you have concerns about your fluid intake.
Protect Your Skin from the Sun
Exposure to the sun's harmful UV rays can cause premature aging and skin damage. To protect your skin, wear sunscreen daily, even when it's cloudy. Choose a sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher and reapply every two hours if you're spending time outdoors. In addition to wearing sunscreen, you can protect your skin by wearing a hat, seeking shade, and wearing protective clothing outdoors. - Protection from UV radiation: The sun emits harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays that can damage skin cells and increase the risk of skin cancer. Moisturizers with SPF provide a barrier against UV radiation, helping to protect the skin from damage and prevent the formation of dark spots, fine lines, and wrinkles. - Hydration: Moisturizers with SPF can help hydrate the skin while protecting it from the sun. It is important because sun exposure can dry out the skin, making it appear dull, flaky, and dehydrated. - Ease of use: Combining two essential skin care products into one, using a moisturizer with SPF saves time and makes it easier to maintain a consistent skincare routine. - Cost-effective: Buying a single product that provides hydration and sun protection can be more cost-effective than purchasing separate products. - Convenient: Many moisturizers with SPF are available in compact and portable packages, making them suitable for on-the-go use. Choosing a moisturizer with SPF that suits your skin type is essential. For example, look for a lightweight, oil-free moisturizer with SPF if you have oily skin. Look for a richer, more hydrating moisturizer with SPF for dry skin. Ultraviolet Protection Clothing Here are some specific types of clothing that offer sun protection: - Loose-fitting, long-sleeved shirts: Wearing long-sleeved shirts made from a tightly woven fabric can help protect the arms from UV radiation. Loose-fitting shirts are also less likely to cling to the skin, allowing for better air circulation and reducing the risk of sunburn. - Pants: Wearing pants, especially those made from a tightly woven fabric, can help protect the legs from UV radiation. Light-colored pants are also less likely to absorb solar heat, helping keep the skin cool. - Wide-brimmed hats: A hat with a wide brim can provide additional protection for the face, neck, and ears. A hat with a dark underside can also help reduce glare. - Sunglasses: With 100% UV protection, Sunglasses can help protect the eyes and the delicate skin around them from the sun's harmful rays. - UPF-rated clothing: UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) rating measures the amount of UV radiation that penetrates a fabric. Look for clothing with a UPF rating of 30 or higher, which indicates that the clothing provides good protection from UV radiation. It's important to note that dark colors and damp clothing can increase the UV radiation that reaches the skin. So, it's best to choose light-colored, loose-fitting, and dry clothing for sun protection.
Get Enough sleep
Getting enough sleep is essential for youthful-looking skin. During sleep, your skin has the chance to regenerate and repair itself. Try at least seven hours of sleep each night, and consider sleeping on your back to prevent wrinkles caused by pressure on your face. Getting enough sleep is essential for maintaining youthful-looking skin. Here's why: - Boosts skin repair: During sleep, the body can focus on repairing and rejuvenating the skin. It can help improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and dark circles. - Promotes collagen production: Collagen is a protein that gives skin elasticity and firmness. During sleep, the body produces more collagen, helping keep the skin youthful and plump. - Reduces stress: Stress can harm the skin, causing inflammation and breakouts. Getting enough sleep can help reduce stress and improve the skin's overall health. - Hydrates the skin: Sleep allows it to absorb moisture more effectively, helping keep it hydrated and plump. It can help improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. - Boosts circulation: Good circulation is essential for healthy, youthful-looking skin. During sleep, blood flow to the skin increases, helping to bring oxygen and nutrients to the skin's cells. Getting enough sleep is essential for maintaining youthful-looking skin. Try 7-9 hours of sleep each night to allow your body to repair and rejuvenate the skin. If you have trouble sleeping, consider making lifestyle changes, such as reducing caffeine and alcohol, creating a relaxing bedtime routine, and using a comfortable mattress and pillow.
Eat a Healthy and Balanced Diet
Eating a healthy and balanced diet is essential for maintaining youthful-looking skin. Foods rich in vitamins and antioxidants, such as berries, leafy greens, and nuts, can help protect your skin from damage and promote a youthful glow. Additionally, limit your intake of processed foods, sugar, and alcohol, as these can lead to skin damage and premature aging. - Fruits and vegetables: Fruits and veggies are rich in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that help protect the skin from damage and promote health. Try to consume at least five servings of fruits and vegetables per day. - Omega-3 fatty acids: Omega-3 fatty acids are essential for maintaining healthy skin and reducing inflammation. Good sources of omega-3 fatty acids include fatty fish, such as salmon and mackerel, as well as walnuts, flaxseeds, and chia seeds. Aim to consume 2-3 servings of fatty fish per week or take a daily omega-3 supplement. - Vitamin C: Vitamin C is essential for producing collagen and maintaining skin elasticity and firmness. Good sources of vitamin C include citrus fruits, strawberries, bell peppers, and broccoli. Aim to consume at least one serving of vitamin C-rich foods per day. - Vitamin E: Vitamin E is an antioxidant that helps protect the skin from damage and promotes health. Good sources of vitamin E include almonds, sunflower seeds, and avocados. Aim to consume at least one serving of vitamin E-rich foods per day. - Zinc: Zinc is vital for skin health and wound healing. Good sources of zinc include oysters, beef, pork, poultry, nuts, and legumes. Aim to consume at least 8-11 milligrams of zinc per day. It's important to remember that while specific foods can promote skin health, a balanced and varied diet is the best approach to maintaining youthful-looking skin. Additionally, avoid excessive alcohol consumption and processed foods, as these can dehydrate the skin and increase the risk of skin damage.
Exfoliate Regularly
Regularly exfoliating your skin can help remove dead cells and reveal smoother skin. Please choose an appropriate exfoliator for your skin type, and use it once or twice a week. Avoid over-exfoliating, as it can lead to skin irritation and damage. Here are some reasons why it's essential to use an exfoliator that is appropriate for your skin type: - To avoid skin irritation: If you have sensitive skin, using an exfoliator that is too harsh can cause redness, itching, and burning. Similarly, if you have dry skin, using a too-aggressive scrubber can strip away the skin's natural oils, leading to even more dryness and flakiness. - To avoid over-exfoliation: Over-exfoliating your skin can damage the skin's natural barrier, leading to increased sensitivity and a greater risk of infection. It is imperative if you have dry or sensitive skin, as these skin types are more prone to over-exfoliation. - To target specific skin concerns: Different exfoliators are designed to address specific skin concerns, such as dullness, clogged pores, or fine lines. Using an exfoliator appropriate for your skin type and circumstances can help improve your skin's overall health and appearance. - Enhance the effectiveness of other skincare products: By removing dead skin cells and promoting cell turnover. Exfoliating can strengthen the effectiveness of other skincare products, such as serums and moisturizers. An appropriate scrubber for your skin type is essential to avoid skin irritation and over-scrubbing. Target specific skin concerns, and enhance the effectiveness of other skincare products. It's necessary to choose an exfoliator that is gentle enough for your skin type and to use it no more than 2-3 times per week. If you need help determining which type of exfoliator is best for your skin type, consult a skin care professional for personalized advice.
Incorporate Antioxidants into Your Skincare Routine
Antioxidants are essential for protecting your skin from damage caused by free radicals. Incorporate antioxidants into your skincare routine using products containing vitamins C and E and green tea extract. Additionally, consider taking an antioxidant supplement to boost your skin's protection. Antioxidants are crucial in protecting the skin from damage caused by free radicals. These unstable molecules can cause damage to the skin's cells. Many skincare products contain antioxidants, including: - Serums: Antioxidant serums are lightweight and easily absorbed into the skin. They provide a concentrated dose of antioxidants to protect the skin from damage and improve skin texture and tone. Serum antioxidants include vitamins C, E, and ferulic acid. - Moisturizers: Many moisturizers contain antioxidants to protect the skin from damage and help improve skin texture and tone. Some common antioxidants in moisturizers include green tea, resveratrol, and niacinamide. - Sunscreens: Sunscreens with antioxidants can provide additional protection from the damaging effects of the sun. Some sunscreens contain vitamins C and E, which are potent antioxidants that can help protect the skin from UV damage. - Eye creams: Eye creams with antioxidants can help protect the skin around the eyes from damage and improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Some common antioxidants in eye creams include vitamin C, green tea, and caffeine. - Masks: Antioxidant-rich face masks can provide a concentrated dose of antioxidants to the skin to help protect it from damage and improve skin texture and tone. Some common antioxidants in face masks include vitamin C, green tea, and niacinamide. Using skincare products that contain antioxidants can help protect the skin from damage, improve skin texture and tone, and promote a more youthful and radiant complexion. Choosing skincare products appropriate for your skin type is essential, and using them as directed for the best results.
Avoid Smoking and Alcohol.
Smoking and alcohol can lead to premature aging. Not only do Tobacco and Alcohol increase your risk of cancer and other severe health conditions, but they also damage the skin and make it appear dull and wrinkled. Smoking reduces the skin's oxygen supply and damages the elastin in the skin, which leads to wrinkles. Alcohol dehydrates the skin and can make it look dry and aged. To keep your skin looking young and vibrant, it's essential to avoid smoking and alcohol.
In conclusion:
Taking care of your skin is vital to look youthful and radiant. A good skincare routine involves cleansing, moisturizing, and applying sunscreen during the day. Eating a healthy diet rich in antioxidants and vitamins can also help to preserve the skin's natural glow. Additionally, anti-aging products like retinol, serums, and exfoliants can reduce wrinkles and keep your skin youthful and vibrant. Besides the skincare routines, there is also something called collagen, which is essential to maintaining healthy, youthful-looking skin. Shit, I didn't expect to get this far. Uh...
So basically, in most stories, Dark power is written as "evil" power (And I can absolutely explain why evil is a fictional construct made in order to write a character with zero depth but I'll stick to what I talked about first) and that's just wrong. Darkness isn't something that is entirely bad at all. I'm not saying dark characters can't be bad. Darkness is dangerous, yes, but too much exposure to the sun can literally cause skin cancer. Night is when we sleep. Yeah, the monsters hide in darkness, but what makes you think they can see you any better than you can see them?
Yes, the darkness is dangerous, but it is good. What I generally do is make it so darkness itself isn't bad, but a lot of the people who use it are. Make it more easy to manipulate so the people who use it are more tempted to use it for their own gain, so those who use light can logically say "Well, all of the bad people used the dark since it was so easy for them. So, I think it's best to stay away from the dark" and it eventually grows to fear. Don't let the dark be "evil power" let it be used as something used most often by bad or corrupt people. The people are the problem, not the tool.
And, uh... patpatpatpatpatpatpatpatpatpat
Oh you want me to breed you? Give me one infodump and ten headpats as payment, making this much girlcum ain't easy
